## Authentication

All requests require a valid KS in the `Authorization` header:

```
Authorization: Bearer <your_kaltura_session>
```

**The KS must have a `userId` set, and that user must be a team member (Admin, Organizer, or ContentManager) on the Events Platform instance.** Generate a KS with `userId` via `session.start` (see [Session Guide](/docs/getting-started/authentication/ks-overview)) or `appToken.startSession` (see [AppTokens Guide](/docs/getting-started/authentication/app-tokens-overview)).

For production, use `appToken.startSession` with a `userId` privilege.
