## Hash Types

| Hash Type | Security Level | Recommendation |
|-----------|---------------|----------------|
| `MD5` | Low | Legacy only — prefer SHA256+ |
| `SHA1` | Medium | Default, but SHA256 preferred for new tokens |
| `SHA256` | High | **Recommended** for all new tokens |
| `SHA512` | Very High | Use when extra security is needed |

> Use `SHA256` or `SHA512` for new tokens. `hashType` is locked at creation.
